Trees are the lungs of the planet, and we need to replace them faster than we're cutting them down. With the Poster Project, I'm attempting to do my small part. My idea is a simple two-step process: (A) find an organization that plants trees, and (B) donate a percentage of profits to that organization. So with every poster I sell and every poster you buy, we'll be making an impact together.

How it works

Posters are made of paper and paper is made from trees (about 8300 sheets of copier paper per tree on average, if we're getting specific). Poster paper is larger and heavier than copier paper so it's reasonable to assume 1000 posters can be made from each tree. For every poster sold, I plan to donate $1.00 to the Plant for the Planet organization (plant-for-the-planet.org)— enough to plant one new tree. I don't pre-stock poster inventory, so that means for each tree cut down to print these posters, 1,000 new ones will be planted.
